My darlings, apologies for my absence yesterday. It's been a little hectic since I moved back. Yesterday, I decided I had had enough of living out of my suitcases, so I spent all day unpacking and cleaning, making space for all the new stuff I brought over from Venice. After a day and a half, it's all done! It feels so good to be settled again.
The London sky is so grey today, I'm in urgent need of some colour therapy. Wanna join me :)
The double height space is simply stunning! Not too sure about the seating though.
I love the way bold colours are used to break up the white.
Perhaps it's due to my architectural training, but a lot of the time when I look at spaces, especially residential ones (my favourite), I often ignore the decor (because that is easy to change), and judge the potential of the spatial layout. This house for example is spatially stunning, very modern and contemporary, I even like the colour scheme, however the choice of furnishes is a let down. It's all a little too office like for me.What do you guys think? Agree or disagree, I would love to know.
Before I forget, there is one more good thing about it, 90% of the materials used, are eco friendly.
I came across this chair, which I knew I had to share. (ooh...that rhymed!)
Gorgeous, right?
This chandelier, I love!
So simple, yet bold and beautiful.

Living room ideas
....and am feeling blue.
I'm a feminine kinda girl, and my favourite colour has always been pink, but recently, I've been drawn more to the blues than anything else. I love the tranquility it creates, when combined with white.
Or its richness when teamed with chocolate brown.
Mostly, the thing I like about this hue, is its adaptability. It comes in so many shades and can be mixed with a variety of contrasting colours to create the perfect space.
Anyone else feeling the blues too?

Beautiful boat house
Such a beautiful and simple way to live.
This gorgeous boat belongs to one of the forum users of Ideal Home magazine. All I know of the owner is that her name is Dominique, and that she has good taste and a creative way of living. So without further ado, lets check out her humble abode!
According to the post left on the site, there is also a walk in closet, however pictures weren't provided, so we can only imagine what it looks like.
Does it tickle your fancy folks?
For me I love the simplicity of everything, from the lifestyle, down to the choice of decor. Nothing is pretentious, it's the kind of beautiful space that works whether you're at home relaxing, working or entertaining 1 or 2 guests. This would be perfect for a traveling designer like myself, I really can't stop swooning!

Lego storage boxes
I don't have any kids, but if I did....
...these cute and colourful Lego storage boxes, will definitely be on the top of my list. Just like the real building blocks, you can actually stack them up too. The company that makes them is called store, they will be out around the mid of August, but you can pre-order them online.

Tweet with me darlings!
Yep! I've just added my live tweets to the blog.
I will be tweeting more these days, as part of the new chapter of my life, so make sure you check out the live feeds whenever you drop by. Some design stuff that I will tweet, I won't necessarily blog about, so it's worth a quick skim read, me reckons. For those of you who read the blog through a reader or a feeder, feel free to follow me on twitter so you don't miss out.
Why am I really doing this?......To be closer to you guys!
So don't be a stranger my darlings.
xoxo

Stunning contemporary home
To infinity and beyond!
So what do you guys think, are you as blown away as I am?
Images via freshome
That was my immediate thought, as soon as I saw this never ending pool.
Spectacular isn't it? Designed by a Spanish architect, Ramon Esteve, to give the feelings of being on holiday whilst in your own house. For me, I love the use of natural materials. Stone, wood and water, have come together beautifully to create this masterpiece home.

New Chapter
Wow! What a hectic few days it has been. The instant decision to move, the packing, the final dinners with friends...ahhh! Well, needless to say, I'm a little exhausted and overwhelmed. Since my flights were booked last wednesday, everything has happened so fast, and now as I write this post, siting in my (well my parents) living room it's hard to believe that it all happened in less than a week.
Before continuing any further, I must apologise for the super late post, but toady has been so hectic. What have I been doing? Getting my life back! Today has been full of the endless errands one must do as a result of moving. I also decided to treat myself by ordering a new blackberry, in the words of Sam from Sex and the City, "I work hard, I deserve it". (ha ha)
So anyway, it's strange to think that just a year ago I was looking forward to moving to Italy, time has definitely flown past. What a year it has been too, I've had the good fortune of making great life-long friends, seeing beautiful places, and going to the most exquisite parties, what more could a girl wish for. As this part of my life ends, I look forward to what lies ahead. Come this September, I will be starting my masters of Architecture programme. Never one to miss an adventure, I was actually accepted last year but decided to postpone, when the opportunity for a year abroad came along.
So my friends, join me in the new chapter of my life, I have a funny feeling this one is going to be action packed.
Kisses

Quick hello
Hello darlings, I just popped in to say a quick hi and bye. I desperately wanted to make a post today, but I'm not going to be able to unfortunately. I just came back home from saying more good byes to friends, getting a few presents for folks back home, and making the odd apology for my departure, to be honest I'm too emotionally drained to put any words together. My taxi is arriving soon to take me to the airport, so I must go now.
Enjoy your weekend my lovelies, and pop back on Monday, to hear all about my last couple of days in Venice-Treviso.
xoxo
