Masculine Kitchens

This post from apartment therapy totally made me smile. My dears it seems that kitchens also have a gender, the feminine and the masculine. No jokes.

Exhibit A, the macho kitchens
Apparently the key element that most masculine kitchens have, is their industrial style, be gone with the frilly aprons and pastel coloured fridges, the steel is in.
I don't know about you guys, but I can easily see a woman in all of those kitchens, surely it's due to personal taste, right? Well am not one to make a fuss, if the guys want to take over, I say we let them.

What say you, my darlings? Are these kitchens really that masculine?

Lovely Kitchens

It's not often that I talk about kitchens, actually I've never blogged about kitchens. The thing about me is that am always thinking about my perfect home, what it will look like, what kind of decor it will have, all that stuff, you know? Do you guys do it too? Anyway, when I came across these kitchens on House Beautiful, I knew I had to share.

I love cooking, but with a kitchen like this I might wanna become a chef!
I really can't wait to have my own property. Don't get me wrong, I love being young, carefree and moving around. Having no fixed address is fun and so are the adventures, but there comes a time when one must settle and build a nest.

The first kitchen is my favourite, beautiful and feminine. Which one do you like?

Apple of my eyes

Every now and again I fall head over heels for a well designed space. For some reason it catches my eyes above the rest as I flick through the magazine, or browse the web. The beautiful kitchen featured in May's issue of Livingetc is the latest apple of my eyes. The thing about this particular one is that I would never have chosen those colour combination for my own kitchen, but now am hooked on it. It's very understated chic. Does anybody else share my love for it, or is this a classic case of puppy love?
