Cupcake week

I wonder what goes through your mind when you hear the words cosmopolitan, or sweet and wicked mojito. I'm guessing it wouldn't be cupcakes, right? Well think again.
In celebration of the National cupcake week, bakers all over England are turning up the heat in the kitchen to bring us some pretty usual and intense flavours.

As a cupcake lover (of the blueberry kind) myself, I say bring it on. The more richer and decadent, the better. If I can make my way round the multitude flavours of Italian ice cream, then I can pretty much do the same for cupcakes of Britain.

Shame? Don't know the meaning of the word.

Friday good stuff

I feel like standing on top of a roof and shouting from the bottom of my lungs, IT'S FRIDAY!
This week hasn't been that bad due to the mid-week public holiday, but am very glad that the weekend is finally here. Tonight is going to be a bitter-sweet moment for me, as am going to my friends farewell party. Really looking forward to ending the day with a great get together, but dreading the good byes. Hmm...such as life. On the bright side, I've come across a couple of good stuff that I would like to share with you folks. First stop, is the amazing competition by Ideal Home magazine. They are offering one lucky person the chance to win a luxury break in the highly fashionable boutique hotel by Missoni.

The hotel is located in Edinburgh, so unfortunately the competition is only for people residing in the UK and the Channel islands. Am sorry if you aren't eligible to enter, neither am I at the moment, but fear not beacuse I have one more goodie to share.

Cakes and Confessions

It's finally time for me to admit something to you guys....

I am an over pampered writer. Being surrounded by a team of brilliant editors has somewhat made me a little too relaxed and am starting to notice more typos and grammatical errors on my blog. I average between 5-6 posts a week, whilst working full time, so I could blame it on the lack of proof-reading time, but I won't. Informality, might well be the order of the day in the blogoshpere community, however there is simply no excuse for disordered language. The worst thing is the constant re-editing once the post has gone live. I feel such remorse for my poor readers who have subscribed to the blog. I wonder if they get the new revisions each time it is updated (my goodness).

So please have some strawberry tiramisu cake as a token of my apology (it's an Italian delicacy), I promise to take better care in the future.
