Happy Monday folks!

Strawberries, cream, and suppers in the garden, these are some of my favourite things about British summers.

 Brightly coloured glassware and pretty floral dinnerware, I love the femininity of it all.

A mix of wood and cast iron dinning furniture makes everything so dated. As if Mr Darcy is about to walk in any minute, followed by Jane Austin herself.

Through in a hammock, and you can settle for an afternoon kip amongst the trees, and the sweet smelling flowers.

Honey I'm Home!

I'm home my darlings, and what a relaxing break, I did nothing! Again, I apologise for the internet failure, but as fate would have it, the connection at my parents house decided to play up 2 days prior to my arrival, and my internet key didn't fuction properly in Britain, it took a few attempts to finally send out my emergency post. Anyway, things are back to normal now, blogging as usual tomorrow.

Oh and one more thing, I have no pics of London, I forgot my camera at home, it serves me right for packing 2 hours before my flight. No worries folks, as I'm back to London for good next month, more on that when dates are finalised.

....in the meanwhile, here's a pic of the Dolomite mountains, where I might be holidaying this summer.

An English Summer

It's so good to be back home, sleeping in my old room, my mum making a fuss over me, and enjoying the great British summer. Contrary to popular belief, we are actually having a really good weather, the sun is out, and unlike Venice, it's not burning.

Actually, this is a really good time to be here, as the strawberry season has just begun. Let me tell you folks, there's nothing like home-grown English strawberries, truly delicious I say. So this weekend, I'll be kicking back, taking it easy, no adventures, just eating strawberries with whipped cream.

Wish List Wednesday

It recently dawned on me a couple of days ago, that I haven't got the right summer shoes. I love my balley flats, but they are way too hot for this weather. I am in desperate need of the triple S. "Smoking, summer, sandals (yes am quite proud of that concoction). These are my 10 best picks, and you know what the best thing is?

Scrumptious summer smoothies

I'm so happy to report that I woke up this morning to a beautiful sun filled room! Good bye buses and helloo bike rides in the Italian countrysides. I don't know about you guys but there is something about sunshine that really, and I mean really perks me up. It can turn a boring day into an amazing one, it makes me pick flowers from the garden to adorn myself and sometimes I feel so good I want to skip everywhere. Please excuse my pathetic ways, but living in London doesn't come with such luxuries, so whilst am here, I try to make the most of it. I've been warned by the locals of how intense the heat can be, but with scrumptious smoothies like these, I say bring it on!

Camping in style

Every summer I make a promise to myself to discover more of Britain. I have this dream of getting hold of a caravan, a couple of really good girl friends, and going on a once in a life time trip. Achievable right? What is the problem, I hear you cry. Well the big problem is me, AM SCARED OF CAMPING! The possibility of coming face to face with snakes, (I've heard stories) and the sheer inconvenience of finding adequate hygiene places just puts me off the whole thing. That was until I stumbled upon this little beauty.
The mobile mini house, made for lovers of camping and traveling. Ingeniously designed by Stephanie Bellanger, Amaury Watine, François Gustin & David Dethoor, it's like taking your house and all the comfort everywhere you go. Unfortunately it's just a concept at the moment, but as soon as it hits the shops, I'll be one step closer to my big dreams.

Yellow Mellow

A friend of mine had his graduation party last night, and boy was it a celebration! Leave it to the Italians to put on a show, the food was delicious, the cake heavenly, and the music was lively. It really was a great ending to a hectic week! I got home around 3 in the morning, set the alarm for a 7:30 wake up call, and now am working via caffeine energy. Here in Venice the spring is hitting us pretty hard, so I woke up to a 15 degrees sunny morning. To spread my sunshine to you guys, am showcasing some beautiful yellow interiors.

Summer Cupcakes

Spring is finally upon us, the sun is out and the flowers are blooming. It's that time of year when everyone starts working out, in a last bid to shed the extra weight in time for summer. Naturally I've started being a bit more cautious with what I eat, saying no to a biscotti here and there, then the odd yes to a gelato. It didn't particularly do me any favours today, when I came across some of Martha Stewarts summer cupcakes, but I thought I should share it with you guys. Like a certain Parisian beauty once said, "let them eat cake". So buon-appetito!
